Marathwada's Daughter Dhanashree Pathade Represents Pune Hub at Global Shapers Annual Summit 2026
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar | Representative - Dhanashree Sheshrao Pathade, a daughter of Marathwada, has made her mark on the global stage by representing the Pune Hub at the Global Shapers Annual Summit 2026, held at the headquarters of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The international summit, themed "Signals for the Future," brought together around 450 young leaders from more than 120 countries. The primary objective of the conference was to empower young people to develop sustainable solutions to local challenges and drive positive change on a global scale. The Global Shapers Community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
Active Participation in Diverse Sessions
Dhanashree Pathade, who currently serves as the Curator of the Global Shapers Community, Pune Hub, actively participated in sessions focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainable development, mental and women's health, youth employment, plastic pollution, digital safety, and the longevity economy.
Credits Success to the Global Shapers Community
Dhanashree credited her achievement to the entire Global Shapers Community, Pune Hub, including all current Shapers, alumni, and everyone who supported her journey. She said that the community's trust in an ordinary Marathi girl, its encouragement to take up leadership roles, and the opportunity to work for society gave her the confidence to represent the Pune Hub on a global platform.
During the current term, Dhanashree Pathade leads the Pune Hub's Curatorship Team along with Harit Kumar, serving as Vice Curator, and Sharvari Raste, serving as Impact Officer.
The Global Shapers Pune Hub was established in 2012 by Anshu Gaur. Since then, numerous Shapers and alumni have built a strong legacy of community service, leadership, and social impact. Carrying forward this tradition, the current Curatorship Team is working consistently to strengthen the Hub's impact and inspire more young people to become active contributors to social transformation.
Local Youth Should Take the Lead
