Nagpur (Correspondent): In a proud moment for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar's academic and social fraternity, Apoorv Mundada, a student of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Nagpur, has been elected as the General Secretary of the institute's Student Governance Council (SGC) for the academic year 2026–27. The achievement adds another feather to the city's rich educational legacy and highlights the growing presence of its students in premier institutions across the country.
According to the official results announced by the IIIT Nagpur Election Committee, the election results were declared on July 28, 2026, in the Conference Hall of the Academic Building in the presence of candidates and students. The results were later published on the institute's official online platforms. The election witnessed enthusiastic student participation and was conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and democratic manner.
Currently a third-year student, Apoorv Mundada has earned recognition not only for his academic excellence but also for his leadership qualities, organisational skills, and consistent engagement with the student community. Apoorv Mundada is the son of Arunkumar S. Mundada, a senior journalist from Paithan, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Editor of Vikrand Times and Agrasen Times.
